The doctrine of res adjudicata does not apply in habeas corpus proceedings, but the complainant may make successive applications for the writ until the judicial power of the state has been exhausted. The scope of inquiry on application for writ of habeas corpus by one convicted of crime is whether the court had jurisdiction to enter the judgment complained of and issue commitment thereon.
